I practice cognitive behavioural therapy combined with hypnosis (CBH). It can be incredibly successful, if you are open to using your imagination and the power of your mind. I will teach you self-hypnosis so you can use techniques at home to manage your issues. I recently used self-hypnosis to overcome a severe dental phobia and succeeded in having my wisdom tooth removed without being sedated!
Put simply cognitive behavioural therapy, or CBT, works on a changing a person’s unwanted
thoughts (cognitions) and behaviours. Combined with hypnosis CBT can be even more effective. Techniques from various other therapies such as NLP and Gestalt therapy are also used during
hypnosis depending on the issue being treated.
I am also a certified workplace coach and mentor, mediator and restorative justice facilitator. Supporting others to find solutions has always featured in my work. I strongly believe that this experience partners perfectly with hypnotherapy where I give you the tools to make the changes you desire. Who wouldn’t want to be part of that!

what is hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is a form of psychotherapy (a talking therapy). Various techniques are used to help you make the desired positive changes to your behaviour and thoughts. These techniques are delivered while using hypnosis.
Hypnosis is simply a state of focused attention similar to becoming deeply absorbed in music, a book or movie, so much so that you forget what else is happening around you. Hypnosis usually involves being relaxed, it enables you to have an increased ability to respond to the positive
suggestions, and to picture your goals more clearly.
It is a collaborative process where you allow yourself to be guided by me, use your imagination to induce positive emotions, and be open to suggestions. You will only ever accept those suggestions that you believe will benefit you.
Can we all be hypnotised? Well hypnosis isn’t something that is done to you. If you can relax and use your imagination then it will work!
what isn't hypnotherapy?
It is not being in a trance. I don’t use the word trance, I won’t be making you go into a special ‘state’.
Hypnosis definitely doesn’t mean you’ll be asleep or unconsciousness. You’ll always be in control and aware of what is happening. I won’t be able to make you do anything against your will.
